Possible Assassin Bug 1 - Hypselonotus punctiventris

Possible Assassin Bug 1 - Hypselonotus punctiventris
Cass County, Texas, USA
August 16, 2008
Size: 1/2"
I was pretty sure this was an Assassin Bug, but I looked through all 59 pages of Assassin Bug images and saw nothing even close to the same colors and markings. Even though this image does not show it, it appeared that this individual had an injured right wing.

Not an expert but...
Not an assassin bug but rather one of the members of the leaffooted bug family without the expanded tibial flanges.

Please see Spot-sided Coreid (Hypselonotus punctiventris)

Wow
Can't help with I.D. but the eyes really make it have a sort of personality.

I can just make out the long pointy mouthparts. I would agree on Assasin bug of some kind but I am no expert on these.
