This is a slightly aberrant E. medioplagata (common in Alberta). Epinotia purpuriciliana is a California species known from relatively few specimens. Still a new species for the guide, good work!

Could very well be
...but there's currently no Internet photos of
Epinotia purpuriciliana
for comparison, and the only records are from California (
type specimen location
and
4 specimen records
), so I'd need ID confirmation before creating a species page.
