Found on Euphorbia heterophylla (a poinsettia) or related plant. Found 3 individuals, all on plants of this species. Will post a second individual from another plant next. Based on Bugguide images, it resembles the Notodontid c-pillars. Can someone suggest a genus/species? Looked for Notodontids that fed on Euphorbia to no avail.

Moved from Prominent Moths.

We tried Janzen's Central America site again
but no luck. The closest we found was a Schizura, but the only Schizura Bruce Walsh lists has a very different caterpillar. I wonder if he might be willing to look at your images?? His website is here. It might be worth a try. If anyone would know, it would be him, or at least he might direct you to someone who would know???

Wonder
if there's anything like a western reference in the works?

Looks like we received another posting
but still no ID. Oh for a western reference!

That's
a big amen!

We also would have guessed Notodontid
but we didn't see anything on Bruce Walsh's website, not caterpillar images nor foodplants, that would give a clue to genus even :(

We'll be watching this one!

Thanks
J&J - hope you will keep an eye out.
