Tiger Beetle Species ?? -
Cicindela repanda
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
August 25, 2008
Found near the Red River, near a stretch of weeds/flowers. I've determined it is a Tiger Beetle but no idea which one.

Cicindela repanda

Cicindela hirticollis
, from the image in Pearson, Knisley and Kazilek,
A Field Guide to the Tiger Beetles of the United States and Canada
. The stripes match well, the "hairy neck" is there, and the illustration even shows the long crossed mandibles.
See this page:
.
But I'm no expert either.

I think you have Cicindela re
I think you have Cicindela repanda. I think I can see hairs sticking out from beneath the eyes. C. repanda would have setae on the "cheeks", while C. hirticollis does not. The shape of the lunate first spot is also more like C. repanda.

I think you have Cicindela repanda...
I thank you, my tiger beetle looks a lot like a C. repanda to me. I do see the setae under the eyes like you mentioned.
