Large Beetle - Osmoderma subplanata

Size: 1.5 inch
This large beetle was flying around the light in my living room, then settled on the curtains. It was captured and released outside. It looks like a scarab but I have never seen one this big.

Osmoderma, usually uncommon around here, but lots of records this season.

Thank you! I think it looks like O. subplanta. Although I can't find a size for that beetle I will assume it is that.

 
species is spelled wrong
O. subplanata is the most likely species
