Tachinid fly - Euantha litturata
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA
June 25, 2005
Size: About 1/2" long

Euantha litturata (Olivier, 1811)
Moved from Tachinidae per Dr Woodley's ID

Tachinidae: Euantha litturata
Tachinidae: Euantha litturata

Moved to guide
I moved it to the guide. Most Tachinids are hard to identify beyond family. Maybe some day a specialist will visit the page and give us a hand.
You can move your own images yourself by clicking on "tag" and then moving tagged image. You can also edit your pages. If the two images are the same specimen (the same individual) you want to link them as such.
Such a crisp image!

Great! Thanks.
Great! Thanks.

Tachinidae, not syrphid
Syrphids never have the big bristles on their abdomen as this one has!Greetings,
