Awesome sequence, Mike
Did you just happen to be in the right place at the right time?

Not JUST luck
Thanks Steve,
I keep herb pots on my deck and amongst my standbys are both parsley and dill. I get to use them until about July and then the swallowtails move in and I'm out of luck for the rest of the summer. Well worth it though for the dozen or so that I get to see from egg to adult every year.

This specimen I watched in particular as it was in a nice clear spot... everything around it having been consumed. And I'd watched several others emerge for timing so that I was waiting for this one.
