Podabrus tricostatus

Podabrus tricostatus
Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
June 20, 2005
Size: 13 mm
Found on the side of a house. I think I grabbed it too forcefully when it tried to escape my jar. It wasn't able to walk much at time of photos and died within a hours.

Before having seen images on this site, I probably would have missed spotting this mimic, dismissing it as the all-too-common firefly it mimics.
