Longhorn Band-Winged Grasshopper - Psinidia fenestralis

Longhorn Band-Winged Grasshopper - Psinidia fenestralis
Cape May Point, Cape May County, New Jersey, USA
August 28, 2008
Maybe about 25 mm (rough guess). On the trails by the Cape May lighthouse, just on the land/grassy side of the dunes. Is this maybe Trimerotropis maritima (Seaside Grasshopper) ???? Is gender possible from this image?

Psinidia fenestralis
It has a similar look to the Trimerotropis, and often occurs with it, but the shape is a bit different, the ridge along the top of the pronotum is much stronger, and it is smaller. Also, this one has very thick antennae.

Nice pictures. They really show how well camouflaged these critters can be.

Moved from Short-horned Grasshoppers.

Thanks again
I appreciate the help.
