Giant Swallowtail? - Papilio cresphontes

Giant Swallowtail? - Papilio cresphontes
Carlsbad, San Diego, California County, California, USA
September 1, 2008
Size: 80x120mm
We have many swallowtails around the house currently. Most of them are anise but this type also appears occasionally. It is bigger than all others. Could this be a dark variant of the Giant Swallowtail?
