Rabidosa rabida - female

Rabidosa rabida - Female
Franklin County, Ohio, USA
August 27, 2008
Size: 18.5mm
A friend at work brought this big girl in to the office for me to play with.

ID based on description and habitus drawings by Brady and McKinley. Six exposures in Helicon Focus.

Did you know that two large yellow-brown rubber bands, when tied in knots and then cut very carefully, can be made to look very much like a large yellow-brown spider? Something to think about when you are at work and need some entertainment.
