perhaps Platydracus fossator, a fine looking rove... i did not have any light and it took off after this. will frass if not needed.

One of the most handsome rove beetles I've ever seen. And you would frass this....why?

 
well...
i did not think it was the best picture, however, i will move it to the species page. it was a lovely rove... wonder if it is meant to mimic Anoplius?
