I believe this is C. lengi. It was shot in a sandhills area in Pratt County, Kansas

Just to clarify...
...yes, this is Cicindela formosa formosa (big sand tiger beetle). Cicindela lengi has the humeral lunule oblique and straight and the body slightly narrower and less robust.

This is the Big Sand tiger beetle, Cicindela formosa. Articulations for C. lengi are broader.
