Terribly bad or good... - Polistes fuscatus - male - female

Terribly bad or good... - Polistes fuscatus - Male Female
Pennsylvania, USA
Well her first "worker" hatched today and it turned out to be a male.
She is either a worker, an unmated queen, or she has an internal clock that told her she had a late start (she layed the first eggs on July 10th) so she immediately produced reproductive castes. we will see if any females hatch out... it would be AMAZING if a female or two did hatch out because that would mean she does have some sort of internal clock...
