Need ID - Cucullia convexipennis

Size: about 50 mm
Anyone have any idea who this colorful caterpillar might be? Found at dusk on unidentified plant. It was obviously eating the leaves of this plant.

Looks like...
Brown-hooded owlet

I often see them feeding on goldenrods and other composites.
