Moved from Tibicen resonans.

Tibicen auletes (FEMALE)
T. resonans is red, reddish-brown - never hints of greenish/olive!
This cicada has too much white wax/pruinosity to be resonans.

Tibicen auletes
Too much wax dorsally on the abdomen.

Tibicen resonans is not characterized by nearly this much pruinosity!
Additionally, T. resonans is a much deeper reddish-brown.

Too Brown
Agreed, this specimen is T. auletes. It lacks the extreme reds indicative of T. resonans and I concur on the pruinosity.

Moved from Cicadinae.

Tibicen resonans
