Size: 29mm
The measurement is nose to tail, and from nose to wingtip it measures 42mm.

Tibicen canicularis
The size could be either species, but the centrally located "node" (place where all veins converge) on the leading edge of the front wing indicates that this is the common dog-day cicada.
