Leaf-rolling "cricket"
Nice find! This is a leaf-rolling "cricket." Not a true cricket, but related to them in the order Orthoptera. They spend the day in leaves they roll and tie with silk spun from glands in their mouths.

Thanks for the info! I saw one of the leaves rolled up (it's a gardenia bush) but nothing inside it when I looked, so it must have been done by the cricket.
