The color varies I think more in eurytheme than in philodice, this one has the "look" of eurytheme. Also, the shape tends to be a little different, and this one is shaped like eurytheme.

I would vote for Orange/Eurytheme
Philodice don't normally have such bright yellow in Alberta and the end of the patch on the forewing is more easily seen as the patch is paler. But I expect the colour might change around America.

It may be the photo that makes the colour look wrong. Compare with these two here and see what you think:
