Velvet ant? - Timulla - Female
Houston, Harris/Bear Creek Park County, Texas, USA
September 2, 2008
Size: 1.5 cm
This velvet ant remind me of a similar looking velvet ant i saw in Tucson recently.

there's an un-IDed Timulla just like yours

Timulla sp.
Definitely a Timulla, unsure of the species. I live close to this area, hopefully I can find some at the park and get a species ID for you.

Moving to genus for now.
