Alfalfa Looper - Autographa californica

Alfalfa Looper - Autographa californica
Coos Bay, Coos County, Oregon, USA
September 8, 2008
Size: aapprox. 1.5"
Beautiful creature.

Moved
Moved from Moths.

Reminds me
of Celery Looper Moth - Anagrapha falcifera

Moth ID
Thanks - I took a look but the patterns don't seem to match up very well. - Pete

Second mis-ID
We (the northwest) don't have Celery Loopers - This is most likely Autographa californica, the Alfalfa Looper. They are very common out here this time of year.
