Bombyliid Fly

Bombyliid Fly
Brown Canyon, Baboquivari Mountains, Pima County, Arizona, USA
September 9, 2008

ID
This is a Villini-tribe fly I have not been able to place to species. I have seen it in southern Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. I think it would fall into Chrysanthrax, though someone may have placed it in Neodiplocampta.
