This is a bit of a puzzle without the specimen in hand. I suspect you have Cicindela willistoni.

 
Another distinct possibilty i
Another distinct possibility is C. punctulata, though the markings are a little more defined than usually. A straight down shot from above would be helpful. Then you would be able to detect whether or not it has the row of elytral punctures.

for the suggestion. I will attempt to catch one of this species. What should I look for to photograph or should I keep a specimen?
