Gymnetis with Placosternus - Placosternus difficilis World Birding Center HQ at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA
Another nice combination shot on the bait. Was going to post this with Gymnetis, but there are more photos of that species on the Guide than of the Placosternus, and more Placo's in this photo than Gymn's. The original, unaltered photo actually shows 7-8 Placo's but mostly poorly, these two were the only ones that came out well. Photo taken sometime during the winter of 2005-6.
