Size: 19 mm Head to wing tips
I'd guess that this is Bombus borealis but it doesn't look quite the same to me as the one that I photographed in 1996 The stripes don't seem as distinct.

Thanks & a Question
Thanks John. After reading your ID, I was going to move my images to Psithyrus but according to the Bombus citrinus species page, Psithyrus is now considered a subgenus of Bombus. BugGuide does not have any subgenus listed under Bombus. When you ID'ed " Psithyrus", was that meant as the subgenus or as a species? There is no Bombus Psithyrus species listed on BugGuide either. Perhaps you can clarify the status of " Psithyrus" so I know where to move the images.  Thanks.

Psithyrus is a subgenus of Bombus
I'm not sure of the species.

Bombus (Psithyrus) fernaldae (Franklin, 1911) is known from Newfoundland but the antennal proportions of this bee do not match.

My best guess is B. citrinus but I don't know of any confirmed Newfoundland records for this species.

Thank you
Thanks very much for the extra detail John.
