Moved
Moved from Exoprosopa.

I agree
with your choice of genus. A few species in that genus though - best if a dipteran came along to help you out there.

ID
Exoprosopa, certainly. I am leaning toward agassizii or bifurca, but we may not be able to go further with just a picture. We could create an "Exoprosopa fasciata-group" page and put it there.

Exoprosopa fasciata-group
I can make the page if you want it. Are there any other photos to put in there? Which species would it include?

Another for the Exoprosopa fasciata-group

New Page
The fasciata group includes those species with the wing color along the leading edge. Of those posted on our pages, it would include: fasciata, rostrifera, argentifasciata, bifurca, brevirostris, and this fly. When they turn up, we can add: dodrans, dodrina, agassizii, pardus, etc.
