I know what this is, but do not want to anticipate info that I intend to publish. It is an existing species which we could place in the Exoprosopa fasciata-group for now. I think this is the first of these I've seen from Orange Co. Thanks for the post, Ron.

I am regularly turning up new (for me) bee flies at this spot. This particular individual was on a trail I hadn't taken before. Will keep looking and posting.

(This is likely a first for Bug Guide, but just in California.)
