Looks like a perfect match for the other photo filed under this species heading, and only about 6 hours' drive south of that location... perched on a window at the WBC HQ.

What is LRGV? Long range gallinule visitation?

Lower Rio Grande Valley
LRGV is a commonly used acronym among birders and butterfliers around the country to refer to the four-county area down here, southernmost tip of the US between the two coasts, hotbed of ecotourism. Every now and then I forget that birders and butterfliers are still a minority of the overall US population.

Long range gallinule visitation, I wish! Or gannet, at least...
