Nice-looking spider
it reminds me of Silver Garden Spider, but you're much further north than all our other images of that species. Maybe Gea heptagon (below)?

Thanks for the ID. There is one of these in the guide reported from Baltimore which is only about 2 hours south of here. So I think you are right.
