Another Caterpillar - Harrisina americana
George Washington Birthplace NM, Westmoreland County, Virginia, USA
Size: 2 or 3 mm
Can anyone ID this little critter? I actually picked it off a visitor's shirt and placed it on a tree. I've never seen one like this before: yellow with black spots. Hopefully someone will be able to give me more information.

Do you really mean 2 or 3mm, not cm, though?

mm vs cm
Ms. Hannah,

I do mean millimeters. The one I photographed was TINY. I should have held something up to it for scale but I was more concerned about getting the picture than anything.

Interesting
I wonder why it would be wandering, at such a small size. Maybe it fell off a host plant onto the visitor. Or perhaps there's something else that looks like it - I'll be interested to see if anyone else comments. Tom's one above has no size, so it's hard to know whether his was tiny, too.

I think it did fall off
I think it did fall off its host plant, whatever that may have been. The lady didn't have any idea it was crawling around on her blouse until I saw her.
