Beetle to ID - Monochamus scutellatus

Beetle to ID - Monochamus scutellatus
Waterton Lakes national Park., Alberta, Canada, British Columbia, Canada
September 18, 2008
There were a few of these beetles flying around, rather large, ID would be great if anyone can help.

I was going to say..
...looks like a whitespotted sawyer to me, but it appears that they are the same species. Here's the bugguide page: http://bugguide.net/node/view/7432

Thank you for the help with the ID.

Looks to be an Oregon Fir Saw

Thank you Travis for the help.

Female.
This is indeed a female Monochamus scutellatus. The "Oregon fir sawyer" is no longer considered even a subspecies if I recall correctly. There is simply much geographic variation. Males, by the way, have much longer, unbanded antennae.

Thank you Eric, always nice to hear from you.
