caterpillar that looks like a leaf
My dog just found one of these in our backyard in south western Manitoba. He was barking at what I thought was a rolled up leaf until I took a closer look and saw that it was a caterpillar. Really cool looking. Did anyone find out what kind it was?

what type
Looks like Elm Sphinx - Hodges#7786 (Ceratomia amyntor) is about right.

I'm also curious (almost a year later)
I saw one of these in Alberta (Edmonton) about a week ago -- very striking appearance.
