Wedge-shaped Beetle - Macrosiagon pectinata

Wedge-shaped Beetle - Macrosiagon pectinata
Fort Bragg, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA
July 2, 2005
Size: around 10 mm
a black and brown beetle

Moved
Moved from Macrosiagon.

Macrosiagon pectinata, i suppose
a rather dark male

Macrosiagon, I believe
Genus Macrosiagon, I think. I managed to scrounge up illustrations of the eastern genera, and I think there are only two widespread ones. I believe this is detailed on the guide page for the family.
