Bembix sp.
This is likely a species of Bembix. I 'know!' I remain rather confused by the variety of color patterns and diversity of species in that genus here in Arizona. Great images capturing capture behavior.

Prey is copestylum
I think you're right on the wasp, but IDs for that genus can be tough to come by. (I tried to match one by thorax markings, then was advised these aren't in the key. Bummer! Such markings are easy to decipher.)
