Hurricane Hill, Olympic National Park, Clallam County, Washington, USA

This fly seemed unremarkable until I saw the photos. The top half of the abdomen is cream colored with dark spots.

Nice shots, great find. These flies are only "locally common" in my experience.

A flesh fly. Note three "racing stripes" on thorax.
