Giant Mesquite Bug - Thasus neocalifornicus
West of Benson, Bordering Cochise County, Arizona, USA
September 27, 2008
Size: Huge 1 1/2-2"
Seen on Desert Broom in my yard at 4,600' elevation, about six miles west of Benson.
Thrilled to find this one! Based on the back legs I think this is an adult male.
