Ichneumon Wasp - Trogomorpha trogiformis - female

Ichneumon Wasp - Trogomorpha trogiformis - Female
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
June 28, 2008
Size: <15 mm
I'm thinking possibly in genus Priocnessus because of yellow antennae with black tips.

Ichneumoninae

Ichneumon wasp.
This is an ichneumon wasp, many of which mimic pompilids. Note the many, many tiny antennal segments. The antennal segments would be fewer, and much longer, in a spider wasp.
