This one was just running around on the ground, never flew at all, followed it for 10 minutes. Is this a Queen? It was bigger than others I see.

Female D. maculata
Quite possibly a new queen, although she seems to lack the broad white shoulders which a lot of queens have.

Her wings look in good condition so she might not have been flying just because she is heavy with faty reserves for the winter
