looks more like Zygiella nearctica
Have a look at the photo of Zygiella nearctica in the Nearctic Spider Database:

. The specimens are virtually identical, including that beautiful reddish-pink color! Compare that to their photo of Zygiella atrica, which looks distinctly different:

doubtful,
the ID suggestion came from a local spider expert, Rod Crawford. He didn't even suggest nearctica, which I assume means it's not found in this area. Luckily, I have this spider preserved in alcohol to give to Rod for confirmation. If it is atrica it will be a county record, if it is nearctica as you suggest, it would be even more amazing.
