One last Mutillidae - Dasymutilla nigripes - Male
Kinder Farm Park, Pasadena, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
July 2, 2008
Size: ~6mm
One last mite ridden Mutillid to check. Can this be narrowed down? There were around fifteen males hanging out in this 4-6sqft sandy patch that had some bee/wasp burrows. Didn't find any females to associate with, unfortunately. Will frass these.

Dasymutilla nigripes
This male is D. nigripes. Even though it is a bit fuzzy, I think its definitely worth keeping the photo for the great example of mite parasites.

Belated "thanks"!
