Syrphid fly - Eupeodes - Female
Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado, USA

Size: ~10mm maybe less
I've been trying to narrow down the ID of this Syrphid. After reading the discussions on some posts, I think it is Eupeodes sp. My first guess was Scaeva pyrastri, but now I'm leaning the other way. What do you think? Also, is it a female based on eyes?

Yes, female.
I often muck up IDs on this fly, so I'll pass. Hopefully, you'll get an expert opinion.
