Ant-like who knows...
Las Vegas, NV

Size: 1"
I found this thing at my work. Possibly carried in on frieght from Phoenix AZ. It was dead when i found it. Preserved decently between a few objects. Possibly from somewhere else before AZ.

Sorry it isnt a great pic. I took it with my cell phone.

Solifugid
Windscorpion (aka Camel Spider).

Harmless beneficial predator.

They can bite if handled roughly, but they do not have any venom. The bite can hurt as they have powerful jaws, but they are in no way dangerous.

Camel spider
Made an account just to post this. That looks like a camel spider. And if it is, you're lucky it was dead. Those things are vicious.

Actually
They're quite harmless. There's a lot of misinformation about them.

Usually harmless
The larger ones can give a really nasty bite, always good to be careful.

Almost found out the hard way heh -- I've been collecting them these past few weeks.
