Crane Fly-Tipuloidae - Limonia

Crane Fly-Tipuloidae - Limonia
Amherst, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
September 27, 2008
Size: @1"
Seems like a hangingfly, but appears different from the Bittacus I saw posted here.

Thanks for any help.

Tipuloidae
This is a Crane fly and not a hangingfly, you can see the halters (modified hindwings) behind the forwings.

Thanks Karl.
That would explain why it didn't quite look like a hanger. :-) I appreciate the correction.
