Size: ~ 1cm (huge)
Found this little one today. Well, not so little actually. I was thinkng thsi was "mr. Typical", but the orange facial area kinda threw me...

Interesting
I did a bit of searching for a match for your picture and I was not able to find anything on bugguide. Doing a bit of internet research led me to Harmonia dimidiata which seems visually to be a match. The only trouble is that I can only find it on Asian websites. I can't find any info about where it lives.

That actually looks like a really good match, I will have to try some searching myself when I get some time. With a 4 month old and a full college class load it makes it tough right now...

Harmonia dimidiata is listed as living in North America on the ITIS database. Click here to see the listing.

On this page (click here) Harmonia dimidiata is mentioned as a predatory species in florida feeding on aphids.
