Wooly Aphids - Paraprociphilus tessellatus
Moccasin Lake, Winston, Douglas County, Georgia, USA

Wooly aphids being attended by Carpenter (???) ants. Found on Alder on bank of Moccasin Lake. There were six or seven patches of aphids on this tree. It was difficult to photograph the intense white of the aphids and the dark colored ants at the same time.
