midge with long legs - Bibio

Size: 5 mm
There were dozens of these tiny midges flying around yesterday as i was taking a walk in the mixed woods near where i work. Their wings buzzed so quickly they seemed to almost be invisible, and their long hind legs dropped well below the body. It was difficult to get photos, but here are my best efforts.
