Harlequin Bug - Murgantia histrionica

Harlequin Bug - Murgantia histrionica
Midlothian, Ellis County, Texas, USA
October 8, 2008
Size: 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) long
This Harlequin Bug was first spotted on my Prickly Pear and now its devouring my horseradish.

Moved
Moved from Frass. Not a bad view of feeding damage, and first image from TX for us (see data map). I think it's worth keeping.

Frassed
Moved from ID Request.

Horseradish was perhaps the target all along
they are Harlequin Bugs - see guide and compare below - they feed on plants in the mustard family.
