Tibicen tibicen (syn. T. chloromera)
Here in the Southeast/lower mid-Atlantic region, many of the southern-most and coastal plain populations of this species frequently retain dorsal pattern. Further south it is not unusual to see specimens with copious amounts of green dorsally and deep reddish brown patches laterally (mesonotum). Unlike other T. tibicen populations, those along the Gulf coast (esp. North/Central Florida, Florida Panhandle, s. Alabama, & s. Mississippi) have very little black dorsally and may even possess green pronotal collars.
