Chironomus decorus
This is
Chironomus decorus
(or more properly, one of the many visually indistinguishable species formerly known by that name). Size would be 5-7mm for a female of that species. It is distinguished from similar species by the dark patch in the wing around the R-M crossvein (the vein itself is dark in several related species) and the aft fork of the Cu vein. The other photo appears to show the large "tubercles" above the antennae which this species has; they are present in varying sizes in most
Chironomus
and closely related genera.
