Yes.
Your ID is correct. Probably a queen, but could be a xanthic (yellow phase) worker. Size indication would help decide that.

 
Since the ant in the other ph
Since the ant in the other photo was about 5mm in length, the wasp was around 13mm in length.

 
Queen?
I've only ever seen like 3 queens of this species, but all of them have had a pattern very similar to this:

I would say this is a worker but I've little experience with the species so I'm probably wrong : )
